For the preservation of these important documents, original Vital Statistics records are not accessible in the Sandra Thomson Reading Room. All Vital Statistics requests and payments must be made through our online payment system.
Death registrations from 1870-1974 are available at the Provincial Archives of Alberta.
Death indexes for 1877-1950 are organized alphabetically by surname and then by year. Each letter is then further subdivided according to the first vowel instance in the surname.
