A new superior court for Alberta.

Alberta’s Court of Queen’s Bench Act of 1978 merged District Courts with the Trial Division of the Supreme Court of Alberta to form the Court of Queen’s Bench effective June 30, 1979. The Court hears more serious legal matters as well as appeals from the Provincial Court of Alberta.
